Yes you can on Octavia 4 but with manual lid not automatic. Lock the car with kessy then open the rear lid and throw the key inside. Close the lid. If you fail to reopen the next 10 secs the key will be locked inside. The situation is described in the manual and there’s a good reason why it happens.

Posted 8 January, 2016 (edited) *Press lock button once to lock with deadlock and interior alarm activated. *Press lock button twice to lock with both deadlocks and alarm deactivated. I use the two button press when I leave the kids or dog in the car (stopping to use an ATM, shops, refills).
