KTM 1190 Adventure. KTM has only recently become a major player in the large adventure bike market.The 990 has always been a well-balanced performer, but sales were never brisk. The 1190 really
mine was somewhere around $200 for first break-in service. $550 is crazy. Obviously they are taking advantage of the fact that they are the only KTM dealer around. I have 3 or 4 KTM dealers within an hour drive, so it probably helps to keep them more competitive/honest. First service should be 1 to 1.5 hours for trained tech, maybe less.
I've got a 30" inseam. Was looking at the 1290 Adventure or the AT. My local dealership had a great deal on 2016 1290s. Sat on the 1290 and was on the balls of my feet. Felt a bit on the top heavy side. Then I sat on the AT. First time I'd ever been able to stand flat-footed on an Adventure bike! Now I know the preload wasn't set for my weight.

R which has been awsome for gravel and lighter offroading stuff. I have a lighter bike for rougher adventures. I do need some help from my fellow adventureres in here regarding luggage.
